Celebrating Bob Wayne at San Diego Comic Con

By DCE Editorial Wednesday, July 29th, 2009
12 There was more than one DC staffer honored by the fine folks at Comic-Con last weekend, and in case you missed Saturday's DCU Editorial Presentation, we're more than happy to share the info here. Bob Wayne, our VP-Sales, was honored with his very own Inkpot Award, commemorating his years of service to the industry and with Comic-Con. And by  "commemorating" I mean being roasted in front of fans, colleagues and friends alike with a series of old photos and a funny video segment that I'll keep exclusive to those that were in attendance (you can thank me later, Bob). Despite the surprise, Bob was kind enough to talk to us about the award. "Comic-Con has been an important part of my career for the last thirty years," Bob said.  "I'm grateful to the convention's organizers for this award and I look forward to many more years of working with them." So, Bob, here's a blog salute, for all your hard work and dedication over the years. More importantly, for being a good sport and letting your friends heckle you on the biggest stage possible.
