Despite the cold and rain on Friday in Toronto, there was a terrific turn out as fans of Francis Manapul and THE FLASH made it out to the Toronto Cartoonists Workshop for another successful event on the DC Comics-The New 52 Art Tour. Francis’ incredible original art lined the long walls.

And the traveling process pieces—which give readers an inside look at how a comic book gets made from the script page to the pencils, to the inks, to the final colored page with text—of THE FLASH #1 made their first appearance.

Fans worked their way around the room viewing all the pieces spotlighting THE FLASH.

Francis was beaming as he signed copies of THE FLASH #1 and chatted with fans.

Thanks to Francis and the folks at The Toronto Cartoonists Workshop for a wonderful event. Special thanks to Kevin Boyd, who helped coordinate the event, and Agnes Garbowska who shared some of their photos with us.  And many thanks to all the fans for coming out and celebrating! Don’t miss the next DC Comics-The New 52 Art Tour event this Saturday, October 8 at Fat Jack’s Comicrypt showcasing Rags Morales and Rick Bryant’s art on ACTION COMICS #1.
