DC Week-In-Review: April 20

By Tim Beedle Friday, April 20th, 2012

So, can you believe that wedding proposal? It just goes to show that anything can happen at a convention. But emerald-tinted romance wasn’t the only thing in the air this week. There was also plenty of excitement as we unrolled all of our exclusive C2E2 coverage, announced two new digital first series and counted down the days to the beginning of Night of the Owls. And speaking of things we still can’t believe…have you read the ending of BATMAN #8 yet?!

Here’s what happened on the DC Comics website this week…

We brought C2E2 to DCComics.com with exclusive CON AWAY FROM CON coverage. And there’s more on the way, so keep an eye on this page.

We’ll soon be offering new digital content five days a week with the launch of BATMAN digital and AME-COMI GIRLS, two exciting new digital first comics that you can read about right here.

After that, we gave you a taste of what you can expect from THE SHADE #8, along with an exclusive first look at Jill Thompson’s variant cover.

Lots of people have been talking about THE NEW FRONTIERSMAN. But have you discovered all that lies underneath? If you’re interested in BEFORE WATCHMEN, what you should be watching is this web page.

But as great as all of this has been, we’ve all been looking forward the most to one particular night this week: the Night of the Owls! We celebrated the start of this hugely anticipated crossover event by talking to some of the folks responsible for it: Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, James Tynion IV, Rafael Albuquerque and Mike Marts.

What a week! And trust us, things are only getting better from here. See you in seven!
