SDCC 2012: DC Comics – The New Wave

SDCC 2012: DC Comics – The New Wave

By dce_publisher Saturday, July 14th, 2012

Last spring, DC made waves (well, one very awesome Wave, at any rate) as they brought some new blood to DC COMICS – THE NEW 52 in what’s become known as THE NEW 52, WAVE TWO. This second wave of brand new ongoing titles included such standouts as Grant Morrison’s Batman, Incorporated, bestselling fantasy author China Miéville’s take on Dial H and Earth 2, which has ignited just as much conversation over its re-imagined characters as its epic, blockbuster-scaled Nicola Scott art. But here’s the thing about waves—there’s always another one on the horizon. This September, DC will be introducing a new wave of New 52 titles. Four new comics. Four new corners of the DC Universe to explore.

Here to shed some light on these new titles is moderator Bob Wayne, who is joined in room 6DE by DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Dan DiDio (Phantom Stranger), Editorial Director Bobbie Chase, group editor Mike Marts, editor Rachel Gluckstern, Scott Snyder (Talon), James Tynion IV (Talon), Brent Anderson (Phantom Stranger), and Tony Bedard (Sword of Sorcery).

This exciting new wave of titles promises to take the New 52 in some compelling new directions. But what direction will the panel take? You can find out as the entire thing unspools live below:
