It’s Friday morning, and you know what that means if you’re a DC fan…

Okay, yes, it means that tomorrow morning a new episode of DC Nation will be debuting. But you know what it means besides that, right?

Yes, yes, it means the week’s new comics are now in stores. And that the premiere of Arrow is less than two weeks away. And yes, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD and download. You’re right, Friday means all of those things, but you do know what else it means, don’t you?

It means it’s time for another Week-In-Review! (It was the next thing you were going to guess, right? Right?!) Here’s what went down this week on the DC Comics website…

Tuesday saw the release of the aforementioned Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1, the latest DC Universe Animated Feature. There’s no question about it. Fans are excited about this one. We counted down to the movie’s release with a couple of clips, including this one focusing on Robin and this exclusive clip that shows you why you should never walk through an abandoned arcade after dark (especially when you probably have a nice, shiny PS3 or 360 at home). We also posted a fun Q&A with Ariel Winter, the Modern Family star who voices Carrie Kelly (AKA The Dark Knight Returns’ female Robin) in the film.

After that, we kept the awesome imagery flowing with some unique variant covers, including this textured BATMAN, INCORPORATED #4 variant by Andy Clarke and this retro cool BEFORE WATCHMEN: SILK SPECTRE #4 variant by the one and only Bruce Timm!

On Wednesday, we brought some six-shooters and spurs to our weekly Twitter giveaway and offered you a chance to win an All-Star Western card signed by Moritat. And then we realized we could really hurt ourselves and we put the spurs and six-shooters away and out of reach…

We also announced that Firestorm artist Yildiray Cinar will be guesting on Earth 2 for a couple of issues, and wondered about the mysterious Amazon on his cover for issue #8.

This week marked the launch of Ask DC Collectibles, a recurring Q&A feature where we give fans a chance to pose questions for the DC Collectibles crew and then answer them on our site.

As the week wore on, the talk was all about DC Nation, which returns with brand new episodes of Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice: Invasion this weekend. And if that’s not enough of a reason to tune in, perhaps our DC Nation-themed 5.2 Reasons can entice you.

On Thursday, we declared October 10th to be “Arrow Day.” After all, it’s not only the day the highly-anticipated Arrow debuts on the CW, but now you can also snag a free comic at participating comic shops. You’re also more than welcome to dress in green leather or grow a rocking goatee in honor of it, but we’re not going to require that.

Friday brought us not just one, but two editions of This Just Happened. First we were schooled in the proper way to pronounce Ozymandias by the man himself, and then elwe were introduced to an incarcerated Daniel West in THE FLASH #0.

And finally, with Zero Month now officially a wrap, we can look ahead to October, and the official return of this guy.

With that, we’re off to finalize our plans for New York Comic-Con. Is it really only two weeks away? Yikes! Please excuse our momentary panic attack, and we’ll see you again in seven!
