There's a whole line of chapter books based on iconic DC Comics characters like Superman and Batman. They're written and illustrated to appeal to kids, and not only do little fans love them -- the books make reading fun.

Our friends at Capstone, have provided sample chapters so you and your kids can spend some time to read and preview the stories and art. The sample chapters may help you talk to your kids about why reading is cool, how reading helps makes us into heroes, and more.

You can preview a full chapter from each of the two books. Superman stars in THE POISONED PLANET, and Batman stars in THE REVENGE OF CLAYFACE.

These books come in paperback and are written to improve reading skills. Here's a heads-up about eight books out now, including four just released titles.

Superman stars in:

Batman stars in:

These all clock in at 56 pages each.
