Hometown Screening of This Summer’s Most Anticipated Film Is Latest Perk to Be Added to We Can Be Heroes Crowdfunding Campaign

Krypton, Smallville and Metropolis. The list of places that can lay claim to being Superman’s home is short. Today, as part of DC Entertainment’s We Can Be Heroes giving campaign, Superman fans will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to add their hometown to the list – for one night only – two days before the highly anticipated Man of Steel film opens in theaters nationwide.

We Can Be Heroes is offering the chance for one generous and lucky fan and 100 of their closest friends to bring Hollywood to their hometown with a private screening of Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ Man of Steel on Wednesday, June 12, prior to the film’s official release on June 14. The screening, available for a $15,000 donation, is the latest “perk” added to the hugely successful We Can Be Heroescrowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill in the role of Clark Kent/Superman under the direction of Zack Snyder, is easily this summer’s most anticipated film. Details on the private screening can be found at (

We Can Be Heroes isthe biggest philanthropic initiative in the history of DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. and has already raised more than two million dollars to fight the devastating and ongoing hunger crisis in the Horn of Africa. The crowdfunding campaign continues to offer Super Hero-themed items and unique fan experiences to engage, excite and empower legions of supporters.
