SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read WONDER WOMAN #21 yet and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!)

A brutal brawl through the streets of London with her eldest brother, First Born, leaves Wonder Woman reeling. Only the last minute arrival of Orion turns the tide and gives Diana and her allies a chance to regroup. But as they flee through a closing boom tube, First Born seizes the edges and forces the tear in the fabric of space and time back open. Thanks to a heroic sacrifice by Lennox, the group leaves First Born behind and emerges into the heart of … New Genesis!

“We're going to establish New Genesis. And it's the New 52, so it's going to be a different take on New Genesis,” series writer Brian Azzarello told NEWSARAMA earlier this week. “This is something that we had planned from the get-go, as far as bringing Orion and the New Gods into the Wonder Woman story. This is part of the original proposal.”

As for the new look of New Genesis? “It's high tech. It's the highest tech in the DCU,” Azzarello continued.

But who is the mysterious figure revered enough to have the mighty Orion kneel at his feet? Plus, what does this futuristic control center have to do with Orion’s boom tubes? And what exactly is it that they seem to be monitoring?

Don’t miss the start of an all-new electrifying chapter for WONDER WOMAN from the acclaimed New York Times bestselling creative team of writer Brian Azzarello and artist Cliff Chiang!
