You already know that the Justice League is presumed dead and that the Crime Syndicate has arrived following the tragic events of this summer’s blockbuster “Trinity War.”

With the heroes gone, everything is up for grabs. Ultraman, Superwoman, and Owlman, plus all the villains you love to hate, have unleashed a wave of evil that seems to have no end! Reuniting the superstar creative team of writer Geoff Johns and artist David Finch, FOREVER EVIL begins.

But how did a story of such grand scale transition from pen to paper? Reprinting the first issue of this world-shaking limited series, this Director’s Cut edition showcases Finch’s stunning pencil artwork and the issue’s original script by Johns. This is an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the creative process that you won’t see anywhere else.

Highlighted in Johns’ script is the focus on Lex Luthor, who is quickly becoming one of the most pivotal characters in FOREVER EVIL.

“He’s the main character in this entire story,” Johns recently told COMICS ALLIANCE. “Most of it is from his point of view. I think he is a fantastic character and one of the most complex characters from the DC Universe. We are going to go deeper into who Lex Luthor is, and the choices he makes, and ultimately what he wants coming out of this. I think he’s one of those great, wonderfully complex and unpredictable characters. I think you think you always know what Luthor is going to do, but this is going to hopefully surprise you.”
