SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read RED LANTERNS #24 yet and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).
With their rings running on pure will alone, the Green Lanterns have their backs up against the wall … the Source Wall to be exact. Beaten down, Hal Jordan and his Corps reluctantly turn to the Red Lanterns for help – but they aren’t welcomed with anything more than a bloody fight that drains their rings even further.
So what do the Red Lanterns want for their help? Their own sector, where criminals and fugitives are welcome! How can the Green Lanterns, the good-guy space cops that never back down, allow them an entire sector? That’s simple. They don’t have a choice!
“RED LANTERNS is a very, very fun book to work on, and Guy is a very fun character to write,” series writer Charles Soule recently said to COMICOSITY. “The nice thing about RED LANTERNS is you know the very nature of the title allows you to do all kinds of crazy stuff. It’s a title about angry rage-fueled space aliens and Guy Gardner on top of it. He’s kind of an angry guy himself, so you can get away with a lot of things. Not that I’m really pushing the envelope too much, but you can do stuff in RED LANTERNS that’s really fun and I’m enjoying it.”
Below, take a look at the final page of RED LANTERNS #24, and sound off in the comments section about how you think the Greens and Reds will fare against the combined force of Relic, Rayner, and all the Entities of the spectrum!
Written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Alessandro Vitti, RED LANTERNS#24 is available in stores now. And don’t forget to pick up the conclusion to “Lights Out” in GREEN LANTERN ANNUAL #2 when it hits shelves next Wednesday!
