Tuesday Roundup: Injustice For All!

Tuesday Roundup: Injustice For All!

By Tim Beedle Tuesday, January 14th, 2014

Who would’ve thought starting a new year with some serious Injustice would be a good thing?

Well, fans of the mega-popular digital first series written by Earth 2’s Tom Taylor and based on last year’s bestselling fighting game would. Set in an alternate universe where Superman has flown off the rails, killed the Joker and turned the world into a sort of super hero police state, Injustice: Gods Among Us featured an epic storyline starring many of your favorite heroes and villains battling dramatically different—and dramatically misguided—versions of themselves that set a new high-water mark for the fighting game genre. But the game’s storyline only scratched the very surface of the full story to be told, and after a very successful first year, the Injustice comic returns to print this week with INJUSTICE YEAR TWO #1, written by Taylor and drawn by Jheremy Raapack and Bruno Redondo.

Of course, if you prefer your epic storylines set well within The New 52, you’ll find much to enjoy this week, starting with JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #11. For those of you who haven’t been following along at home, Matt Kindt and Eddy Barrows’ JLA has been offering the biggest hints so far when it comes to just what happened to the Justice League and the JLA after the events of Trinity War. The mystery has been slowly uncovered at the hands of Martian Manhunter and Stargirl, and this week promises to bring even more answers, as well as one brutal showdown…

Even better, that’s just the start of the action this week. The first few coins in a full payout of panels. The very tip of the iceberg of new issues hitting the stand. Why, we also have new chapters of Justice League 3000, Superman/Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Green Lantern Corps, Coffin Hill, Astro City, Suicide Squad and a new episode of “Gothtopia” in Batgirl! Check out previews of all of these and more below, and feel free to sound off about what you’re really looking forward to in the comments.
