Preview Monday: JUSTICE LEAGUE 3000 #3 and ASTRO CITY #9

By Clark Bull Monday, February 10th, 2014

Welcome back for another installment of Preview Monday! This week, we’re giving you exclusive first looks at JUSTICE LEAGUE 3000 #3 and ASTRO CITY #9.

First, in JUSTICE LEAGUE 3000 #3, the mighty have fallen. The Flash is defeated. Green Lantern is in the clutches of Locus, a psychotic teenage girl with the powers of God. And Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have been banished to a planet-wide penal colony! Will the regenerated (but not-quite-perfectly) Justice Leaguers survive to report back to the Wonder Twins? Written by Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis and illustrated by Howard Porter, JUSTICE LEAGUE 3000 #3 will be available in stores this Wednesday.

Then, in ASTRO CITY #9, Joey wants nothing more than for Winged Victory to train him. But train him for what? And the puppet master behind the attacks on Winged Victory is revealed—though it may be too late for even Samaritan and the Confessor’s aid to be any use. Who is Winged Victory’s unexpected ally, and will her words help Victory towards… victory? Pick up your copy of ASTRO CITY #9, written by Kurt Busiek and illustrated by Brent Anderson, when it hits shelves this Wednesday.
