SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read DETECTIVE COMICS #30 and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).
There’s lots to talk about as THE FLASH creative team of Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato take over the creative reins of DETECTIVE COMICS with issue #30! It’s a bold new direction for the Dark Knight, with Batman knee-deep in a new mystery involving a deadly new narcotic, Icarus, hitting the streets of Gotham City.
But there will be spoilers for all of that as the mystery continues to unfold! In this issue, we meet Elena Aguila and her motocross-star daughter, Annie. Elena is pitching a waterfront development deal that is sure to cost Wayne Enterprises billions, but has somehow attracted the charitable attention of Bruce Wayne.
In this page from DETECTIVE COMICS #30, Annie does tricks on her motor-bike like she has wings to help her fly. All while her mother gives Bruce a checklist of compelling reasons for funding her waterfront project to help the east end of Gotham's drug, violence and homeless problems.
Neither Bruce nor Elena take their eyes off of Annie the entire time she’s in the arena.
Take a look below at page 14, and then sound off in the comments section about the proposal and the introduction of these exciting new characters!
