Even Forever comes to an end.

Yes, it’s been a wicked ride, but Forever Evil, the seven-issue miniseries by Geoff Johns and David Finch, is finally coming to a close with an extra-sized finale that will shake The New 52 down to its very core. In fact, it’s so huge that the finale isn’t just limited to the pages of FOREVER EVIL #7, but JUSTICE LEAGUE #30 and JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #14 as well. (How much has Forever Evil changed the DC Comics landscape? It’s brought about the end of the JLA! At least for now…) Before Wednesday is done, we’ll know the fate of the Crime Syndicate as well as Lex Luthor’s “Injustice League.” But first, maybe we should recap…

When last we left things, Cyborg and Metal Men had defeated the evil sentient computer virus known as Grid (that happened in JUSTICE LEAGUE #29, if you missed it). However, not before Grid had imprisoned Nightwing in a “Murder Machine” and the Injustice League had released the mysterious man in the hood… who turned out to be none other than Earth 3’s Alexander Luthor—one of the most powerful magicians in the Multiverse. (That’s all from FOREVER EVIL #6.) Meanwhile, Steve Trevor believes he can free the Justice League from their Firestorm-fueled prison with a little help from Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth, something that’ll be a lot easier if they can find Wonder Woman. (These events unfolded in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #13.)

Finally we’ll learn how this all shakes out. Is evil really forever? Or will good ultimately reign supreme? One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be a helluva fight!
