Holy Collectible Close-Up, Batman!

With 2014 serving as Batman’s 75th Anniversary year, fans can look forward to some remarkable statues and action figures celebrating the Dark Knight coming out through a variety of our product lines. If you’re a gamer, there’s our ever popular Arkham line and of course, much has been made of the upcoming Batman: The Animated Series action figures. However, for fans of our Batman comics and the many talented artists who help to create them, there’s no better line than Batman Black and White, the long running series of statues that showcase unique artists and their distinctly different takes on the Dark Knight that have appeared in our comics throughout the years.

This year, Batman Black and White flashes back to the Golden Age of comics with a pair of statues based on the legendary art of Dick Sprang. A throwback to a more whimsical age, these a firm bond to the past and lasting legacy of Batman and his equally iconic nemesis, the Joker. These statues were sculpted by Tony Cipriano and Josh Sutton, who have worked carefully to add a third dimension to Sprang’s lively work in the most respectful way possible.

Go on and take a good look at these two statues in the gallery above. They’ll be available online and at your favorite comic or specialty store in December, 2014.
