Katana strikes back!

In feudal Japan, a katana was one of the most feared weapons of the samurai.  In the pages of DC Comics, Katana is a fearsome warrior, trained in the arts of the samurai tradition.  Her weapon of choice is the mystical (some say cursed) sword, Soultaker, which has the ability to let her communicate with its victims.  Her journey to avenge the death of her husband, Maseo at the hand of his own brother working for the Yakuza, has led her from Japan to Gotham.  Along the way she has been part of the team known as The Outsiders, as well as the Suicide Squad—and it was cool to see her fighting in this episode alongside Black Canary—who she teamed up with for a while in Birds of Prey.  She’ll also be part of the new DC Super Hero Girls line-up debuting later this year. 

And tonight, she broke our hearts.  Twice.
