If you’ve ever seen a professional baker at work, you know the effort that can go into baking a cake is nothing short of heroic. However, tonight’s all new episode of Food Network’s Cake Wars pays tribute to an entirely different breed of heroes—the ones you find in your favorite DC comic books.

In tonight’s specially themed episode, the four contestants will be competing for both $10,000 and a chance to take their DC super hero-themed cake to an exclusive event at the new DC Entertainment office. It’s sure to be a tough choice, but regular judges Ron Ben-Israel and Waylynn Lucas will get some help from a trio of familiar guest judges—DC Entertaiment executives Jim Lee, Dan DiDio and Geoff Johns.

The competition is sure to be fierce, gripping and so-very-tasty, so be sure to set your DVRs. It’ll be a sweet way to kick off the week.

The special DC Comics episode of Cake Wars airs tonight, July 6, at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. CST) on Food Network.
