Lucifer, the brand new #DCTV show based on the classic Vertigo series, premieres tonight. That doesn’t give you a lot of time to get caught up on his 25-year comic book history. (Though you’re welcome to try. Lucifer’s original series as well as his brand new comic are both available digitally.) Fortunately, thanks to our friend Comic Drake, you don’t have to. His new video, which debuted today on the new DC Fans YouTube channel, recaps Lucifer Morningstar’s sequential art past in a clear, concise and fun way. It’s a great introduction to some of our past interpretations of the Lightbringer before his small screen debut. Check it out!

You can find more informative comic book clips like this on Comic Drake’s YouTube channel, so be sure to pay it a visit. If on the other hand, you’d like to learn more about Lucifer, you have plenty of options. You can learn more about the Morningstar’s history in both comics and myth in the debut installment of the new Vertigo Podcast, which is available to listen to right now. Or for more on the new comic series and some of the characters appearing in it, don’t miss our Lucifer 101 post. Finally, to hear from the star of the Lucifer series himself, Tom Ellis, be sure to catch today’s new DC All Access clip.

Lucifer debuts tonight on Fox at 9 p.m. (8 p.m. CST), so clear your schedules now. After all, you have an appointment with the devil.
