This week continues the epic saga from Peter J. Tomasi as part four of “The Final Days of Superman” continue with SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN #28!

In this week’s issue, Superman and Wonder Woman are called to A.R.G.U.S. after the events at the Daily Planet where a Clark Kent impostor with some extreme powers showed up and caused major panic and multiple deaths.

This new “Superman” is mad and deranged, demanding to be let loose so he can save the people of Earth, but his radiating glow is reminiscent of the real Superman’s solar flare power that he had once used against Ulysses. So Superman goes to the source: Ulysses is being held at this facility as well and he may have the answers as to the damage the solar flare had caused, and if it possibly mutated him.

But all too soon the new Superman’s powers surge and he breaks free from his containment, attacking Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman and attempting to escape! This causes a mass power failure, releasing Ulysses and he attacks, hoping to kill Superman in this moment of luck. But all too soon, Ulysses realizes that something is very, very wrong with him.

Though Superman has come to accept that these may be his final days, it is only when he must confront Wonder Woman that he falters. Diana, the woman he loves, refuses to accept that this is the end and that she must soon say goodbye.

Then this just happened:

As words fail the two valiant heroes, a last kiss says it all.
