Infinite Crisis, the new Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) set within the DC Comics Multiverse, is making a super hero-sized showing at PAX East in Boston, MA this weekend (April 11-13). The game’s developer, Turbine, will have a massive presence at the show this year, hosting three tournaments over the course of the weekend, ensuring that all attendees can take part in defending the Multiverse, no matter their skill level.
Yes, after taking a few weeks off, we’re back to break down what’s in store for you this Wednesday from DC Comics and Vertigo. And what’s in store for you is the debut issue of DC Comics’ first weekly comic series since the start of The New 52.
With another weekend behind us, we’re now one week closer to summer. Yes, summer. That blissful time of year where the sun is warm, the days are long and the water’s perfect. We love warm weather almost as much as we love comic books here at DCComics.com (we said almost), and if that’s you as well, then you’re in luck. Or rather, you may be if you act quickly.
Yes, we know. It’s still chilly outside. You’re more likely to spend weekends with a nice cup of cocoa than you are sipping coladas on the beach. But summer’s just around the bend, and you want to make sure you’re ready.
We’re celebrating Batman all month long here on DCComics.com, and what better way to do that than with an awesome, all-Batman episode of DC All Access?!
In honor of the Batman's 75th Anniversary, the latest all-new episode of DC All Access is devoted to all things Dark Knight! Featuring a sneak peek at Bruce Timm's exciting new anniversary short, as well as all the latest and greatest from the Batman line of comics, we're also giving you a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win an awesome Batman: Arkham City Batarang Full Scale Replica.
To me, one of the most interesting things about Batman is how he’s managed to go through so many different incarnations—from a campy live action TV Adam West, to an animated Bruce Timm iteration, to an older post-retirement Frank Miller version—and rather than turning us off or getting fans upset, we’ve embraced so many of them. As a character he’s just so malleable. He has no powers, so anyone could be under that cape and cowl and give him a new vibe.
Earlier this year, DC Collectibles announced that they would be releasing a new line of action figures based on the highly influential and almost universally beloved Batman: The Animated Series. Fans were excited, and so were we.
