A look at Gary Frank’s process

We can never get too much great art, and more specifically, we can never get too much Gary Frank art. His run on SUPERMAN: SECRET ORIGIN has been, well, superb. His knack for detail and widescreen storytelling has brought a new level of modernity to the tale of the boy from Krypton, while not sacrificing an inch of the story’s legacy.

Pardon the Dylan reference, but I’m in fine spirits, sitting here at JFK. Why? Well, I’ve managed to score a few days off to head south to Nashville for some food, friends and frivolity. But no worries – we’ve got lots of good stuff ready to roll out over the next few days, including a first look at the next issue of Paul Cornell and Pete Woods’ excellent run on ACTION COMICS.

Not long ago, we broke the news that Nick Spencer and artist CAFU would be relaunching the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. AGENTS in November – along with a lovely cover by superstar artist Frank Quitely. But why stop there? Editor Wil Moss was kind enough to not only shoot over some lovely CAFU character designs, but he also kept me on the phone for a few minutes to talk up just what you guys are looking at.
