There are only three issues left of the bestselling BRIGHTEST DAY series. Issue 22 is cryptically titled “The End and The Beginning” and it’s all about Firestorm’s struggle to be the best hero that he can be.
I don’t want to give anything away or spoil the story, so I’ll just say that the issue has been aptly titled and leave it at that.
When Zatanna brings Oscar Hempel to Shadowcrest, her family’s mansion, to try and reverse the spell her father placed on him, little does she know his villainous intentions. The power hungry marionette will stop at nothing to become human again – and exact revenge on the bloodline that turned him into a puppet in the first place.
Following the exciting conclusion to Brightest Day, the new protector of Earth has been chosen - but one reluctant hero makes a return to try and convince Batman, Superman and the rest of the DC Universe's heroes that this may not be a good thing at all.
On the grand scale of things, dinosaurs are far from the most formidable enemies that Superman or Power Girl have fought. Honestly, what's a T-Rex compared to a Darkseid? Show me a velociraptor and I'll show you Doomsday.
So then why are a few overgrown reptiles rampaging through Manhattan giving them so much trouble? Shouldn't this be an easy day's work for those two?
This can't be good.
