Writer Marc Guggenheim and artist Scott Kolins are working on a big canvas with their "Supertown" storyline. Issue 47 sees events play out in Gotham City and Jacksonville, FL and features appearances by Manhunter and Blue Devil and a sinister development with the appropriately named Dr. Chaos. The JSA is already reeling from recent events. Can the team survive what happens next?
April's DOC SAVAGE #13 kicks off a six-issue story arc written by extraordinary artist (and Doc Savage fan) J.G. Jones, whom DCU readers will recognize from his outstanding cover work on Final Crisis, 52, Wonder Woman and of course Doc Savage and First Wave.
With Oracle out of the picture, Batgirl and Proxy must throw everything they've got at the super-fast villain Slipstream.
And by throwing everything, we mean everything - including Batgirl's new car, as seen in Dustin Nguyen's cover to April's BATGIRL #20.
We've shown a tiny bit of Action Comics #897's Lex Luthor / Joker match-up, but the issue's just too good not to share more of it in advance. That Paul Cornell and Pete Woods are able to capture everything we love about these two deranged villains so well in a single scene really speaks wonders about just how great they've been on this book.
Next week's ZATANNA #9 is part 2 of Paul Dini's "Pupaphobia" story arc - with art duties covered by the always-terrific Cliff Chiang.
Cliff shared a few words with The Source about his experience working with Paul Dini on the Zatanna comic:
Someone's cracked the secret identity of the aging Dick Grayson in BATMAN BEYOND #4, and it's up to Terry McGinnis to keep that secret from leaking out any further. If that weren't a difficult enough task already, it seems like Dick has a few ideas about how he can take care of himself.
Check out the cover to April's BATMAN BEYOND #4 by Dustin Nguyen.
As of January 2011, DC Comics titles will no longer carry the Comics Code Authority Seal of Approval. In 2011, DC Comics will employ a rating system consistent with that of the rest of the industry, as well as with our digital releases, which already utilize a rating system.
At the end of the epic DC Universe Online cinematic trailer, we see Lex Luthor giving what's left of the Justice League the lay of the land in a world where Brainiac is quickly taking over.
This storyline rolls out in DC UNIVERSE ONLINE LEGENDS, where Lex Luthor must join forces with a few unexpected allies to take the fight back to Brainiac. But - The Atom? And Black Canary?!
