Let's cut to the chase: We've got an early look at the first issue of DOOM PATROL #1, right here. Written by Keith Giffen with amazing art from Matthew Clark and featuring a METAL MAN co-feature by Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and artist Kevin Maguire, it's hard to think of why anyone would pass the issue up, no? But we refuse to miss a chance to show some of these great-looking pages.

We’re wrapping up the lettering on ACTION COMICS #879, which means a lot of emailing back and forth with letterer Rob Leigh. He’s come up with what I think will be a stronger method for the English subtitles to all the crazy Kryptonian speak going on in the book.

But before Bagley -- who just wrapped up a historic run on the weekly TRINITY series -- steps aboard JUSTICE LEAGUE, he's got a three-issue arc on BATMAN, pairing him with writer Judd Winick.
