As many of you know, this past Saturday was Free Comic Book Day, that beloved geek holiday when we celebrate comic books by giving a whole mess of them away for free. This year, DC Comics had two free books on offer, including the first installment of The New 52: Futures End, our brand new, timeline-shattering weekly series featuring the DCU debut of Terry McGinnis.
Not all that long ago, we celebrated crossing the 50,000 likes mark on the DC Collectibles Facebook page. We were so excited about crossing such a major milestone that we planned an entire week of cool stuff to celebrate it. There were original videos, giveaways, a poll to vote on a new Bombshell design and much, much more. With 50,000 fans in our corner, it was quite the party.
So imagine what it’ll be like with 100,000.
SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read FOREVER EVIL AFTERMATH: BATMAN VS. BANE #1 and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).
So...what are you doing on Free Comic Book Day?
While it may not be officially recognized as a holiday, among comic fans, Free Comic Book Day holds just as much social significance as New Year's Day or Halloween. Free Comic Book Day 2014 is this Saturday, May 3rd. On that day, comic book stores worldwide will welcome thousands of eager fans through their doors with free comics and in-store events geared towards new readers and old alike.

We thought it would be fun and enlightening to sit down with Kevin Conroy for an interview about these two unique projects. Only, in staying true to the spirit of the shorts, we're keeping the interview brief. Three questions—one for each minute of animation!

All month long, we’ve been talking to the creative team behind our brand new weekly Batman comic, Batman Eternal.
Sometimes when the stakes are this huge and the scale this massive, twenty pages just isn’t enough. It’s fortunate, then, that we have our extra-sized Annuals. This week sees the release of four of them, some kicking off exciting new storylines, others offering explosive finales.
Welcome back for another installment of Preview Monday! This week, we’re giving you a double-dose of DC! And they’re both about the super hero of the year: Batman!
