Amy Winston just wanted to know where she came from; finding out the truth changed her life forever. Constantly moved to new towns and schools by her mother, and trained in self-defense and swordplay, Amy’s upbringing was anything but normal. She tolerated the situation because of her mother’s promise that on her 17th birthday they would travel to a home Amy has never known and a place where her father is buried. True to her word, when the time came, Amy’s mother took them home – which was shockingly the planet Nillaa – Gemworld – in an alternate dimension. Even more shocking was the change in Amy’s physical appearance and the revelation that she was actually Princess Amaya of House Amethyst, one of several ruling groups vying for power on Nillaa.
Now trying to balance a life between Earth and Nillaa, Amaya/Amy is coming to terms with her responsibilities as a princess and trying to survive the machinations of her newfound family members in Nillaa. The most treacherous of these is her aunt, Lady Mordiel, who wants to kill Amaya and control House Amethyst.
