History:
Jonah Hex has a past as marred by violence as his scarred face. Abandoned by his mother, young Jonah was subjected to frequent beatings by his alcoholic father, escaping that barbaric treatment only when the boy was bartered to an Apache Indian tribe in exchange for his father’s safe passage. Although an outcast, Hex was able to learn valuable survival skills from the Apache until he was driven out of the tribe. Eventually fighting as a Rebel soldier in the American Civil War, Hex saw more than a lifetime’s worth of horror and bloodshed on the battlefield.

A man with no home and no family, Hex has looked to the only thing he knows how to do: fight to survive. Now the most feared bounty hunter in the land, Hex’s exploits are the stuff of legend.
