Ask DC Collectibles: Facebook Frenzy!

Hi DC Collectors and Facebook fans! Welcome to the “100K Likes” edition of Ask DC Collectibles, our semi-regular question and answer feature here on DCComics.com. A week ago, we asked for your DC Collectibles questions and you responded by posting over 100 questions and comments on our Facebook page. That’s a lot to try and cover, but we love a good challenge. Let’s get to it!

TIMELINE OF PRODUCTION

DC Collectibles: 75 Years, 75 Batman Action Figures

A week ago, as part of Batman Month, we made this little video looking at a few highlights from our many, many Dark Knight action figures. We had fun putting it together, you seemed to have fun watching it, and a few people over here had FAR too much fun playing with all of the action figures. However, the title of the video was definitely a little misleading. We didn't have time to show you 75 different Batman figures. Not as a video.

In honor of Batman's 75th Anniversary, DC Collectibles is proud to present "Batman: 75 Years, 75 Action Figures," a video timeline highlighting some of the key Batman action figures we've released throughout the years. From the DC Direct days to the present and off into the future, Batman continues to be one of our favorite and most popular subjects!

Batman: An Anniversary of Action Figures

So, we have this hero that wears a lot of black and he’s celebrating a little anniversary this year. Seventy-five years… Ring any bells?

Yes, of course we’re talking about Batman. We’ve been talking about Batman all month long here on DCComics.com, and for good reason. He’s one of the most popular characters in fiction. Not just in comic fiction—fiction period. Batman’s been around longer than most of us, and yet he’s more popular than ever. That’s why we’re having this 75th anniversary celebration.

First unveiled at Toy Fair in February, this eagerly awaited new line of figures is set to make a splash later this year with an initial wave of figures that include Atomic Green Lantern, Mecha Wonder Woman, Pajama Party Harley Quinn, Atomic Poison Ivy and Renaissance Batman.

Batman: The Animated Series: From Animation to Action Figures

DC Collectibles has returned from Toy Fair, where their new line of action figures based on Batman: The Animated Series was a smashing success! While the figures won't be in stores until November, the Collectibles crew provided us with an in-depth look at the figures and what you can expect from them. (In short, plenty of articulation and accessories!)
