If you've ever come to visit us at SDCC, NYCC or another one of our many conventions, you’ve likely noticed how we always have plenty of great DC Collectibles statues and action figures on display. We’ve been doing this for years, and over that period we’ve noticed how much time fans spend looking at our new collectibles, particularly the statues, making sure they take enough time to examine all of the texture and detail. This isn’t really surprising. Unless you happen to see one of our statues on display, it’s sometimes hard to gauge its level of intricacy.
Last Wednesday, we launched into a new installment of Spoiler Alert, where we provided you with a heavily redacted, closely shot photograph of a brand new DC Collectible. We’ve given you a new photo of the same figure just about every day since then on the DC Collectibles Facebook page, each one a little more revealing.
The Javits Center in New York City was bustling this week with some of the coolest and most unusual collectible action figures and statues at TOY FAIR.
Among them, DC Direct displayed some the newest and most dynamic superhero statues. I saw Wonder Woman in her new costume, the DCU Online MMO figures, FLASHPOINT figures from the art of Andy Kubert, Harley Quinn from the new ARKHAM CITY series, the latest BATMAN BLACK and WHITE from the art of Cliff Chiang and, of course, the GREEN LANTERN statues and movie replicas.
We’re fans of all mediums here on The Source – especially if they involve some of our favorite characters, like Batman. So a game like BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY, the upcoming sequel to the popular BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM is a no brainer. Batman? Fighting against some of his greatest foes on the streets of Gotham? Yeah, we’ll take it.
