A collection like no other!
DC Entertainment and Dynamite Entertainment Proudly Bring Fans an Unbelievable Cross-Over Event Inspired by 1960s TV Shows
After last month’s future-set spoiler issue, this week’s BATMAN #29 marks the return of “Zero Year” and the conclusion of the storyline’s second chapter, “Dark City.” If you’ve been reading, you know that the still pretty untested Dark Knight has been dealing with no shortage of problems, including a city-wide blackout, a major storm and plenty of trouble from the Gotham City Police Department. However, most disturbing of all may be the grotesquely malformed corpses that have been popping up around the city—the gruesome calling card of a previously unheard of villain known as Doctor Death.
We wouldn’t be true to the New York spirit if we did this episode small!
People say that it’s not good to live in the past, but we respectfully disagree. At least when it comes to Batman. After last week’s spoilerrific flash-forward issue, this week marks the return of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s “Zero Year” in BATMAN #29. When last we left our young hero, he was literally drowning in trouble, and this week’s cover should make it pretty clear which of his adversaries is behind it. But how will he escape? For the answer to that riddle, you’ll need to pick up the issue, which serves as the conclusion to the second chapter of “Zero Year,” which we’ve been calling “Dark City.”
Check back on Monday for the answer!
Don’t know about you, but we anticipate spending quite a bit of time in Gotham in the future, for what is shaping up to be one heck of an awesome television series.
Following the exploits of rookie detective James Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie), the upcoming Fox television show will explore the infamous titular city years before the Dark Knight first cast his vengeful shadow upon the criminal underground, back when Bruce Wayne was still a young boy that only recently saw his parents murdered right before his eyes.
