Batman at 75: Highlights in the Life of the Caped Crusader

It’s Batman’s 75 Anniversary, and between his upcoming adventures on the big screen (in the now filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), small screen (as a young boy in this fall’s Gotham), video game consoles (in Batman: Arkham Knight and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham), animation (Batman: Assault on Arkham) and multiple ongoing comic books (including his very first weekly, Batman Eternal), it’s going to be a big couple of years for the Dark Knight. But that’s okay, he’s used to it.

Batman: Arkham Knight Combines Art and Adventure at SDCC

Over twenty hot artists from DC Comics, the tattoo art scene, the graffiti world, and the edge of cool have all been given the ultimate blank slate—a white latex reproduction of Batman’s famous cowl and cape. Each will bring his or her own unique sensibility to decorate this piece however they see fit in Cape/Cowl/Create, a remarkable art exhibit coming to San Diego Comic-Con.

Batman: Assault on Arkham (2014)

Gotham is in great danger when the government assembles a group of villains — code named the Suicide Squad — and forces them to break into Arkham Asylum to retrieve top secret information stolen by the Riddler. Things take a turn for the worse when one of the Squad members (Harley Quinn) frees the Joker, who is intent on blowing up Arkham Asylum and Gotham City. Batman must use his super hero wits and strength to thwart the wicked plans of the Joker and the Suicide Squad.

Set in the world of the best-selling Batman: Arkham video game series, this action-packed film takes place between the Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Asylum video games.
