Announcing Batman: An Animated Celebration

If you missed the news last week, Batman: The Animated Series is the inspiration for the newest line of action figures from DC Collectibles. We thought this was worth celebrating, so to give the action figures a proper launch, we’re devoting much of this week to Batman: The Animated Series here on DCComics.com with a five-day event called “Batman: An Animated Celebration.”

Ten Moments that Mattered: 75 Years...in Two Minutes

As the holidays arrive and the year comes to a close, we thought we’d take a look back at 2013 and commemorate some of the moments that really stood out in the world of DC Entertainment in a two-week DCComics.com series we’re calling “Ten Moments that Mattered.” Some of these moments were happy. Some were sad. They played out in the pages of our comics, on the big and small screen and in the halls of our office. However, all of them made a profound difference in the world of DC Comics and in the hearts and minds of our fans.

Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short

From the creative minds of Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) and Bruce Timm (Superman: The Animated Series) and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this short follows Superman through the years, from his first appearance on the cover of Action Comics #1 to Henry Cavill in this year's Man of Steel...all in two minutes!

The Superman Anniversary Short: 75 Points of Annotation

As most of you know, Superman is celebrating his 75th Anniversary this year. To help commemorate this impressive milestone, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder teamed up with artist and animator extraordinaire Bruce Timm to create a two-minute short that traces the Man of Steel’s history from Superman’s debut on the cover of 1938’s Action Comics #1 all the way to Henry Cavill in Man of Steel. It’s a must-see for any fan of Superman or comic books in general, and if you haven’t seen it, you can check it out below:
