A Public Service Announcement From DC Nation

I interrupt my usual DC Nation-ness to bring you, the DC Comics reader, a very important announcement: The comics shipping this month are freaking awesome! I know you're thinking "But Ian, the comics are awesome every month!" and you're totally right - they are - but this month features so many special items I wanted to make sure that you were perfectly clear on the degree of amazing we've got going on. Paul Cornell welcomes Death from Sandman to the DCU in monumental issue that also features the debut of the Jimmy Olsen co-feature by Nick Spencer. Mr. Cornell also delivers Knight & Squire #1 this month so be sure to say thank you when you see him, OK?

- Untold Tales of Blackest Night #1

Check out these missing scenes from Blackest Night by Geoff Johns, Peter Tomasi and JT Krul.

- Teen Titans #88

And speaking of Mr. Krul, we are pleased to welcome him and artist Nicola Scott as the new creative team behind Teen Titans. This is the start of a new era for the team, so be sure to check this out!

- DC Comics Presents

Presenting an all-new format aimed at collecting rare stories or stories never seen before. These 100-page spectaculars will be coming at you every month with material from both the DCU and Vertigo. This month you can check out volumes focusing on Brightest Day, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Young Justice. Trust me - you're gonna love these.

So that's some list of comic-y goodness, huh?

BRUCE WAYNE: THE ROAD HOME is a one-of-a-kind project--a series of eight interconnected one-shots that not only feature Bruce Wayne after his long journey home, but also celebrate the legacy of Batman and what it means to the heroes of the DC Universe. Seen through the eyes of those most important to Bruce--Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Batgirl, Catwoman, Oracle, the Outsides, Commissioner Gordon, even Ra's al Ghul--each issue spotlights the unique relationship these characters have with the Dark Knight. Bruce Wayne begins his walk down THE ROAD HOME in October

A mysterious new villain is casting a long shadow over Gotham City at arguably the worst moment possible.

With the city’s heroes overtaxed and in disarray, will they be able to band together and bring down their deadly adversary?

Oh, and Bruce Wayne’s back. Remember him?

An icon returns. A villain is born and the protectors of Gotham are forced to not only defeat the immediate, but cope with the array of questions that Bruce’s return brings up.

Starting in October, readers will begin to experience BRUCE WAYNE – THE RETURN HOME, a series of one-shot specials spotlighting the many key players in Batman’s world, spotlighting not only their attempts to defeat a looming threat, but also to come to terms with the return of their mentor, father figure and friend – for better or worse.

Batgirl no more?

Catwoman’s love rekindled?

A Robin abandoned?
