Win a C2E2 Wonder Woman Card!

This week marks the release of WONDER WOMAN #9, which continues Diana’s journey through Hades as well as Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang’s celebrated run on the book. Later this month, the first trade collection of THE NEW 52’s Wonder Woman relaunch hits stores, giving new fans the perfect opportunity to get caught up. In short, it’s a great time to be a Wonder Woman reader, and we thought we’d commemorate this with a little contest.

While we were at C2E2, we had Azzarello and Chiang sign this promotional card that was on display at the DC Entertainment booth. You may recognize it as the cover art for WONDER WOMAN #7, an image that quickly became one of the most iconic representations of the character.

Now we're giving you the chance to win this signed promotional card. Here's what you have to do to enter:

1) If you're not already doing so, be sure to follow @DCComics on Twitter

2) Tweet us a picture of you recreating the pose shown in the cover art between 10 a.m. PST on Tuesday, May 15th and 5:00 p.m. PST on Friday, May 18th. Be sure to use the hashtag #wwcontest in your tweet to have your entry counted.

That's all there is to it! After the deadline, Brian Azzarello, Cliff Chiang and all of us here at DCComics.com will pick the best photo and the winner will be contacted via Twitter prior to being sent the signed card. We’ll announce our photo champ on Twitter and in THE SOURCE on Tuesday, May 22nd.

And with that, it’s time to unleash your inner Amazon. Good luck and hold those hammers high!

C2E2 2012: DC Comics for Kids!

Who says you need to be a grown-up to read about super heroes? And while we're on the subject, who says you need to be a grown-up to BE a super hero? Some of the best comics on the racks today are for kids and about kids, and are finding an audience that includes more than a few...well, let's call them fully-grown kids. No matter your age, it's the last day of C2E2 and we're glad you're joining us for our live DC Comics for Kids CON AWAY FROM CON coverage.

Tiny Titans, the Eisner Award-winning comic by Art Baltazar and Franco was embraced by an audience that was anything but tiny. Now they're primed to release a brand new ongoing all-ages comic - Superman Family Adventures. Direct from the stage of room S402ab at McCormick Place, DC Entertainment's Ian Sattler is all set to lead a sure-to-be lively conversation with the pair about their work and what other DC comics for kids await on the brightly-lit horizon.

Like the books it's centered on, this panel is sure to be colorful! We invite you to follow it live below:

C2E2 2012: Vertigo - New Blood

Aliens, zombies, vampires, voodoo, goblins... The world of Vertigo has always been populated by some unique and often dangerous characters, but in March the publisher introduced us to some new creatures to keep our collective eyes on with the launch of four brand new comics. Curious about how they plan to follow such a stellar month? Look for the answer here in our live CON AWAY FROM CON panel coverage.

For readers whose tastes lean toward the edgy and imaginative, Vertigo has long been a destination of choice. With a current lineup that includes popular, long-running classics like Fables and Hellblazer, buzz books like American Vampire and Sweet Tooth, and attention-grabbing new releases like Saucer Country and Fairest, there is much to discuss - and announce - in their panel. Sharing the stage in room S401abc and ready to spill their guts (hopefully not literally, though the panel IS called "New Blood") are Senior Editor Will Dennis, Brian Azzarello (Spaceman, 100 Bullets), Sean Murphy (American Vampire and the newly announced Punk Rock Jesus), Scott Snyder (American Vampire) and Bill Willingham (Fables, Fairest).

Wondering which dark corridors the Vertigo team will be leading us down this year? Follow the panel live below:

C2E2 2012: DC All Access - Special Edition: Before Watchmen

Nothing gets people talking like Before Watchmen. For the first time in the company's history, DC is revisiting the world of Watchmen with a series of comics written by some of the best creators in the industry. Ready to revisit the world of Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan and Nite Owl? Well, unfortunately you'll have to wait until the start of Before Watchmen in June. But you're likely to get a taste of it in our live CON AWAY FROM CON coverage.

Gracing the stage of room S401abc in what's sure to be one of the most memorable and widely discussed panels at C2E2 are DC Entertainment Co-Publisher Dan DiDio, VP - Art Direction and Design Mark Chiarello, Senior Editor Will Dennis, Brian Azzarello (Before Watchmen: Rorschach), Lee Bermejo (Before Watchmen: Rorschach), Amanda Conner (Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre), Adam Hughes (Before Watchmen: Dr. Manhattan), J. Michael Straczynski (Before Watchmen: Nite Owl) and Len Wein (Before Watchmen: Ozymandias, Curse of the Crimson Corsair).

C2E2 2012: DC Comics - The New 52

The New 52 was the most talked about event in comics last year, and it's not hard to see why. Mainstream comic book publishers don't hit the reset button on every single one of their titles every day. Now, eight months into the initiative, some of DC's biggest creators are gathering to discuss The New 52 - Second Wave, and we're bringing it to you live as part of our CON AWAY FROM CON coverage.

The New 52 is changing. Some titles are ending while others are about to kick off. Grant Morrison is returning to Gotham with Batman, Incorporated. Bestselling fantasy novelist China Miéville is entering the world of ongoing comic books with Dial H. A pair of huge crossover events will shake things up in the Batman and Young Justice family of books. Gathering in room S401abc at McCormick Place, DC fans both young and old are primed to hear DCE Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras, Executive Editor Eddie Berganza, Chris Burnham (Batman, Incorporated), Patrick Gleason (Batman and Robin), Geoff Johns (Justice League, Green Lantern), Jimmy Palmiotti (All-Star Western) and Scott Snyder (Batman, Swamp Thing) talk about The New 52 of today and tomorrow.

It's been an exciting year for DC with the launch of The New 52, and with The New 52 -  Second Wave on the horizon, things show no sign of slowing down. Some of the biggest creative forces on the DC roster are gathering in room S402ab at McCormick Place, ready to talk about where DC has been over the past twelve months and where the publisher is heading. Joining moderator John Cunningham onstage are DCE Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras, David Finch (Batman: The Dark Knight), Geoff Johns (Justice League, Green Lantern), Kevin Maguire (the upcoming Worlds' Finest) and Scott Snyder (Batman, Swamp Thing).

C2E2 2012: DC Collectibles (Formerly DC Direct)

It's been a huge week for the team formerly known as DC Direct. On Wednesday they revealed their new name - DC Collectibles - along with plans to expand their online store. They also announced two new online exclusive products and a new line of custom prints that will only be available through their website. For action figure fans, the DC Collectibles panel is likely to be one of the highlights of C2E2, and we're covering every moment of it as part of our CON AWAY FROM CON coverage. No matter what they've been called, DC Collectibles has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the finest producers of high quality collectibles in the direct market. It's a reputation that will only grow as the year rolls on with new products highlighting The New 52, Before Watchmen and much, much more. Onstage in room S402ab and ready to talk shop are DCE Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and Creative Services Director Jim Fletcher. C2E2 Survival Tip #3: Watch the Weather

It’s the day before C2E2. Surely, you’ve checked the weather by now. The news isn’t great, but hey, it’s not like you’re going to Chicago to work on your suntan, right?

Yes, we can expect some rain this weekend. And wind. And maybe a little thunder. But you’re going to be inside at the convention. The weather shouldn’t affect you, right? Well, yes and no. It’s true that you’ll be largely out of the rain, but you’re not going to be inside all day. Even if your hotel is only two blocks away from McCormick Place, two blocks can be a really long distance in a thunderstorm. Pack an umbrella and a good, waterproof jacket that won’t weigh you down on the convention floor. Also, remember that nothing is less comfortable than a pair of soaked sneakers. If you anticipate walking much in the rain, consider bringing an extra pair of shoes and socks to change into afterward.

Staying dry equals staying happy at a convention, so try your best to do both. After all, we want you to enjoy all of the great stuff we have in store for you!

Of course, you can also enjoy it from the comfort of your home (or C2E2 hotel). Starting tomorrow, we’ll be using our website, Twitter and Facebook pages to hook you up with exclusive content and give you an unprecedented level of coverage…
