The Labor Day weekend didn’t slow down the publicity wave for DC COMICS-THE NEW 52, including high profile exclusive previews: USA TODAY has the exclusive first look at DETECTIVE COMICS #1 and an interview with writer/artist Tony S. Daniel who told the paper that “fresh, brand-new villains are the ones who will give Batman challenges he's never faced before.”
Still trapped in a world unfamiliar to the one he knows, Booster Gold is held hostage by Nathaniel Adam, the man he once knew as his friend, Captain Atom. As his memories of the world he knew are starting to fade, Booster is running out of time to escape from the clutches of Nathaniel, defeat Doomsday, and find The Flash to restore the universe to its rightful setting. But when he locates Barry and attempts to use his speed force to fix the altered timeline, he’ll quickly learn that saving the world does not come without severe consequences.

We caught up with GREEN ARROW penciller Dan Jurgens about working on the series’ art with industry legend George Perez. “Once upon a time, I was asked to draw an issue of Teen Titans because the book's usual artist, George Perez, needed a break,” Dan told us. “Marv Wolfman was the writer, and one of the things his script asked for was a double page spread with so much detail that it would ‘make George Perez jealous’.

Booster’s mission to restore the original timeline is put on hold – perhaps forever – as he tries to contain an enemy who is stronger, bigger, and deadlier than any he’s ever faced before.
