Now, at least, you’re all stuck waiting with me—I was getting lonely sitting at my desk with all this cool stuff I couldn’t share!”

Holiday Gift Guide: TINY TITANS: THE TREEHOUSE AND BEYOND

Aw yeah, it’s time for the holidays!

You may still be stuffed with sweet potatoes from Thanksgiving last week, but the season of giving is already upon us.

This year, celebrate with the Tiny Titans, DC Comics’ 2011 Eisner Award-winning kids’ series from the acclaimed creative team of Art Baltazar and Franco. Issue #46 of the series hit stores earlier this week (hello stocking stuffer!) but if a trade collection is more your style, you’re in luck!

Just in time for the holidays, TINY TITANS: THE TREEHOUSE AND BEYOND, which collects issues #33-38, will be released in comic book shops on December 21st. Watch as the Tiny Titans gang meet their counterparts from another world, travel to the center of the Earth and more!

And to help get you in a festive mindset, THE SOURCE conducted an exclusive yuletide chat with Art and Franco about their holiday traditions and how they plan to celebrate this year.

What holiday tradition do you do that makes your celebration unique?

ART: Christmas BINGO! Every year my family has a “Grab Bag” style bingo game! Everyone brings a gift and we pile ‘em up on the living room table. We sit around the room with our bingo boards, my son calls the numbers, winner grabs a gift and we give a BINGO shout out to the lucky winner! HHEEEEYYYY!!! It’s fun stuff.

FRANCO: We have so many in our family but recently it’s watching my son open his presents and then getting to sit around all day and play!

What's your favorite winter activity?

ART: I like to pull my kids on their sled. There is a trail behind my house that is awesome when covered with the fresh fallen snow! The kids dig it. They point at all the deer tracks along the way. The first Snowman is exciting too.

FRANCO: I love to go sledding with my son at the first snowfall! This year we were lucky enough to go on our first sled run in October… before Halloween!

What is your fondest holiday memory?

ART: The holidays are very magical. When I was a kid, I could not wait to get my Super Heroes and Star Wars toys! Now, my house is filled with laughter and screaming kids on Christmas morning.

FRANCO: I come from a large extended family and I remember the anticipation of everyone getting together and cooking all day long and then eating all day long, the laughs and fun were a marathon event!

What are you doing to make the holidays special this year?

ART: I got some new Christmas CD’s. I’m planning on rockin’ a Christmas Dance Party! I hope Grandma brings her dancing shoes.

FRANCO: I just love being with my family and spending the day together with them! As long as they’re around my holidays are guaranteed special!

If you could have one wish come true this holiday season, what would it be?

ART: One Wish? I’m not sure, but I know it has something to do with SUPERMAN!

FRANCO: Easy! An issue of TINY TITANS in every stocking!!

Art Baltazar and Franco Talk The Mysterious Hooded Woman in Purple

For the past few days, we’ve been showing you panels teasing at the various appearances of the mysterious hooded woman in purple, whose identity is revealed in TINY TITANS #46.

The quirky and acclaimed creative team of the series, Art Baltazar and Franco, chatted with NEWSARAMA about what the woman’s appearance in the book signifies and spilled some details about what’s coming next in the series.

“There's a little hint in her very first appearance in TINY TITANS, if you look real close at the first picture and pay attention to details of the whole lady in purple,” Art hinted when asked about the hooded woman. “You might be able to find some clues. That's all I will say.”

Be sure to pick up TINY TITANS #46, in stores today, to discover their take on the identity of the woman in purple.

The Mysterious Woman in Purple Revealed!

All week, you’ve seen the members of Tiny Titans scratch their heads at the perplexing identity of the woman in purple showing up throughout TINY TITANS #46.

Well, there’s only so much mystery that Wonder Girl enjoys before she takes matters into her own hands to figure out the answers.

Now that the gang has finally caught this woman, they’re ready to find out who she really is and what she wants. So who is she?

You’ll have to pick up TINY TITANS #46 to find out why Barbara, Wonder Girl and Superboy are so shocked in the above panel when they discover the woman in purple’s true identity.

“This purple lady is everywhere!” series co-writer Franco said exclusively to THE SOURCE. “From my understanding, she’s shown up in every single issue of DC COMICS-THE NEW 52! Well, now she’s shown up in 53 issues because we are revealing the truth about who she is and what she’s doing and that’s going to happen in TINY TITANS!”

“She's in TINY TITANS? Y'know, I thought it was weird when I returned from my coffee break to discover my artwork had been altered,” series co-writer and artist Art Baltazar continued. “Must be the work of that purple lady's elves. You never know where that Purple Lady will show up next! Besides I always thought she was pink. Now, I like purple very much, Lois."

TINY TITANS #46 is in stores today.

The Tiny Titans and the Mysterious Woman in Purple

Yesterday, you saw the first appearance of the mysterious woman in purple in TINY TITANS #46 and learned that she’ll be showing up in many places throughout the issue. But who is she and what is she doing?

Does Raven know?

Hmmm. Looks like Raven doesn’t have the answers. Does anyone else in the gang have any ideas?

It seems like all of the Tiny Titans are confused about this woman’s secretive identity. So how will they discover who she really is and what she wants? Find out by reading TINY TITANS #46, in stores tomorrow.

“Who’s the lady in purple?” – Robin

A few weeks ago, Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras’ All Access post teased at the future of the mysterious hooded figure who appeared at the end of FLASHPOINT and in all the premiere issues of DC COMICS-THE NEW 52.

Well, looks like Bob wasn’t kidding when he said that this enigmatic woman would be appearing across all aspects of the DC Universe.

In Wednesday’s TINY TITANS #46, you’ll notice a familiar purple cloak making various appearances throughout the issue. Leave it to the always-inquisitive Robin to be the first member of the gang to ask the question that’s been on all of our minds since those climactic pages of FLASHPOINT #5: “Who’s the lady in purple?”

We’re Having a Batgirl Party!

It’s hard to believe that it’s already October. And if you’re anything like me, October only means one thing: Halloween. But Halloween is more than just trying to pull scary pranks or get free candy from your neighbors – it’s also about getting dressed up and having fun with your family and friends.

In issue #45 of the Eisner Award winning series (for Best Publication for Kids), TINY TITANS, the girls decide to have a Batgirl themed party. So what does that mean? Everyone comes to the Batcave dressed up as Batgirl, of course! Too bad nobody told Robin, leaving him feeling like the odd man out. And when an epic soccer match between Coach Lobo’s Secret Six team and Coach Huntress’ Birds of Prey team begins, a secret weapon will be unleashed that’ll leave everyone scratching their heads.

TINY TITANS #45 is by Art Baltazar and Franco and hits stores on Wednesday.
