The War (Of The Green Lanterns) Rages On

Yesterday, we told you that Earthborn Green Lanterns Hal, Guy, John, and Kyle came up with a shocking and dangerous strategy for battle—but standing in their way is Kilowog, Salaak and all their comrades. As the war heats up in part five of the War of the Green Lanterns, the consequences of their decision begin to come to fruition. Are they prepared to hurt their friends in order to save the Corps?

They’re Ready To Risk It All

Last we saw Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner, they made the unprecedented decision to remove their rings in the midst of battle. In part four of the epic War of Green Lanterns, the duo reunite with John Stewart and Kyle Rayner to stop the evil forces consuming their fellow Corps members. Their strategy will not only put their lives at stake, but will also go down as one of the riskiest acts committed in the Corps’ history.

From the Editor's Desk: Brian Cunningham on War of the Green Lanterns

When I was recently handed the editorial reins to GREEN LANTERN, GREEN LANTERN CORPS and GREEN LANTERN: EMERALD WARRIORS, it felt admittedly daunting. I was coming on board just as all three titles raced into the massive crossover story, “War of the Green Lanterns.” It was an intimidating prospect.

WAR OF THE GREEN LANTERNS, Part 3: Guy Gardner vs. Hal Jordan

The War of the Green Lanterns continues in its third installment, “Breaking Bad,” when the Corps become brainwashed by someone controlling them through their rings. In turn, Guy Gardner turns to Hal Jordan, the only other Lantern not affected by the powers that be that he can reach. But when a distress call turns into a civil brawl, Guy and Hal must first face off against one another before they can save the rest of their team.

The War of the Green Lanterns Begins Here

If any Green Lantern were to be officially labeled the antithesis of the Guardians of the Universe, it would be Hal Jordan. As a result of the death of his father, he refused to acknowledge fear, living a life of risk and insubordination. When the legendary lantern known as Abin Sur tragically died, the ring selected Hal Jordan as his replacement. Despite great debate among the Guardians on the very idea of a human drafted into the Corps, the ring had never chosen unwisely.
