Doomsday's rampage continues through the Watchtower in Superman/Batman Annual #5

smbmann

James Robinson and Miguel Sepulveda pick up the Reign of Doomsday in next week's SUPERMAN/BATMAN ANNUAL #5, taking the battle to the Justice League's Watchtower.

smbmann2

These are just a few pages to give you a taste of the knock-down, drag-out fight that the oversized issue has in store. (Not to mention an ending that ups the stakes even higher for the whole Reign of Doomsday storyline.)

Check it out next week!

Doomsday's Bloodthirsty Quest Continues

The Reign of Doomsday continues in its third installment, “Eclipso Rising, Part Two: Mayhem.” With Eclipso’s powers spreading and mightier than ever, Blue Lantern Saint Walker joins the Justice League of America to help fight off Doomsday – who proceeds to crush everything and everyone in his way of finding Cyborg Superman.

Written by James Robinson and with art by Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #55 is on sale now.[gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="2"]

Darkness falls on the JLA

The "Rise of Eclipso" begins next week! While searching for closure on Diablo Island, Bruce Gordan again becomes the unwilling host of Eclipso. Now with Bruce but a powerless voice inside his head, Eclipso begins his mysterious scheme by assembling all the shadow-powered villains in the world.

Find out who the Lord of Darkness has in mind (including someone you wouldn't suspect) in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #54, on sale tomorrow. Check out a preview of the issue below!

The Rise of Eclipso begins!

Here's an extra tease you'll be treated to in today's comics...

jlaeclipso

The dark energies that have surrounded Earth are harnessed once more to usher in the great Lord of Darkness... and it looks like the corruption of all mankind starts with the members of the Justice League!

Rise of Eclipso kicks off in James Robinson and Brett Booth's JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #54, on sale next month.

Is there a plan to defeat Omega Man?

New comic books go on sale today, including JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA issue 53, the final chapter of "JLA Omega" by James Robinson and Mark Bagley.

The alliance between the Justice League and the Crime Syndicate has broken down. Things look grim. Can there possibly be a plan that will defeat Omega Man?

Batman must have a plan, right? I mean, he always has a plan.

Uh, right?

This issue reveals Dark Supergirl's allegiances, ties in with the Starman/Congorilla Special and sets the stage for next month's story, "The Rise of Eclipso" by Robinson and the new art team of Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund.

Here's a look at the first four pages.

DCU IN 2011: THE LORD OF DARKNESS IN STARK BLACK AND WHITE

"The Rise of Eclipso" begins in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA issue 54 and, so far, we've kept the lid tight on the details of James Robinson's epic storyline.

But we can confirm, this one's got it all:

* Shade.

* Doomsday.

* Blue Lantern Saint Walker joins the League to ensure that all will be well.

* Alpha Lantern Boodikka and Supergirl on the trail of the Cyborg Superman.

* The return of one of the DCU's classic villains, Eclipso.

Eclipso's dark, dual nature is all about the tension between light and dark so it's only appropriate to show off some art by Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund in glorious black and white.

DCU in 2011: Superboy and Supergirl are going to have their hands full...

...with a lot more Doomsday than they bargained for.

As announced earlier this week, the Reign of Doomsday story will continue through SUPERMAN/BATMAN ANNUAL #5, as Supergirl must team up with Batman to try to stop Doomsday and Cyborg Superman from tearing them apart. The issue will hit in early April, written by James Robinson with art by Miguel Sepulveda.

Later that month, the Reign of Doomsday story will pick up where that issue leaves off in SUPERBOY #6, by Jeff Lemire and Pier Gallo. Conner's battle with Doomsday builds toward an epic sixth chapter... which we're not spilling any clues on just yet.
