Kick off the week with JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #26

Well, this is it.

In case you haven't heard, JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #26 is the final issue from writer Geoff Johns, who has spent the better part of a decade chronicling the adventures of the JSA. But not to worry, as some of you are already well aware of, Johns has a ton of stuff in the pipeline. Namely, FLASH: REBIRTH and BLACKEST NIGHT.

And as for the JUSTICE SOCIETY, just last week we previewed pages from incoming artist Jesus Merino, who is teaming with writer Bill Willingham and Matt Sturges to pen the next chapter of the team’s history.

So, check out the pages, have a good cry, but also, stay tuned for the cool stuff in the works.

First look at the new JUSTICE SOCIETY creative team

With Geoff Johns moving on from his long tenure as writer of JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA with the 26th issue of the current series, I'm sure many of you are wondering just what is in store for the world's first super-team. Well, for starters, we have writer/artist Jerry Ordway stepping in for a stint, to be followed by the new regular creative team of writers Bill Willingham and Matt Sturges and artist Jesus Merino. While you may be familiar with the work of Willingham and Sturges -- either on Vertigo's FABLES or their work on SHADOWPACT and SALVATION RUN -- we wanted to make sure you knew exactly what kind of ultra-detailed goodness you'd be getting from Merino, so here's a nice helping of art from JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #29, which you'll see on stands this summer.
