BATMAN BEYOND 2.0 #28 is one of the most significant installments of the Batman Beyond comic we’ve probably ever published and unsurprisingly, we had a few questions for the two men who scripted it.

Batman: The Animated Series: Picks from the Pros...

One of the many great things about Batman: The Animated Series is the influence it’s had on an entire generation of comic book creators, some of whom would later go on to work on Batman themselves. Knowing that so many of our current Batman writers and artists were fans of the show, we thought it would be fun to reach out to a few of them to see if they could recommend a favorite episode. Here are three must-see eps, as recommended by some fine folks who know a few things about the Dark Knight!

This Just Happened: ZERO YEAR TIE-INS!

Six years ago, the legend of Batman emerged amid the greatest catastrophe Gotham had ever endured. A maniac calling himself The Riddler shut down all electric power mere days before a terrifying superstorm. But the Dark Knight isn’t the only hero to surface during this moment in time known only as the ZERO YEAR!

SPOILER ALERT: If you have not read BATMAN #25 or the ZERO YEAR tie-ins yet and do not wish to know what happens, stop reading this post now (major spoilers ahead!).

Preview of THE JOKER: DEATH OF THE FAMILY

Every legendary hero has an opposite number. The other side of the coin. The darkness to their light. These reflections of evil, death and menace bring out the best in our champions – if they can survive the experience.

But none compare to The Joker – the deadliest, most frightening villain ever to grace the comic book page.
