As the holidays arrive and the year comes to a close, we thought we’d take a look back at 2013 and commemorate some of the moments that really stood out in the world of DC Entertainment in a two-week DCComics.com series we’re calling “Ten Moments that Mattered.” Some of these moments were happy. Some were sad. They played out in the pages of our comics, on the big and small screen and in the halls of our office. However, all of them made a profound difference in the world of DC Comics and in the hearts and minds of our fans.
This week’s new episode of “DC All Access” is so good…it’s criminal! In between pondering how they can sneak into DC’s secure library, Tiffany and Blair chat with Arrow’s Felicity Smoak, Emily Bett Rickards! Also, Dustin Nguyen stops by to give up the goods on Batman: Li’l Gotham’s final chapter, while Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner let us know what to expect from their brand new Harley Quinn comic. Finally, we go back in time for some deleted scenes, help Batman find “Joker” and give away a Sandman Silver Omnibus signed by Neil Gaiman!
Hear that? That right there, readers, is the sound of Xmas tunes on an endless loop at every retail store in the near vicinity, the gentle "ahhh" that comes from that first drop of hot apple cider touching tongues, the crunch of fresh snow, the sound of sleigh bells jingling, ring ting tingling, too.
But that other sound, that's the sound of countless people freaking the heck out over trying to figure out what to purchase their loved ones for the holidays.
This year marks a very special occasion: the 75th Anniversary of one of DC Comics' flagship characters, a character recognizable the world over, a character that to this day remains one of the most important characters in comics. We are, of course, talking about the brilliant reporter Lois Lane. Who, can we say, looks great for 75. It's almost like she hasn't aged a day in all that time.
Look! Up in the sky! (Well, okay, on our Youtube page and website.) It's a brand new episode of "DC All Access," and viewers are in for some super new scoops.
