We announced back in April that an all-new Batman digital comic book would be coming soon. Today, we’re excited to reveal that the first chapter from LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT will be released tomorrow, followed by new chapters out every Thursday.
Last week, you heard rumors coming out of KAPOW! Comic Con that a DC Comics character would be gay when reintroduced to readers in DC COMICS-THE NEW 52. We compiled some coverage of the speculation about that character’s identity for you and asked that you share your best guesses in the comments section on our website.
“The parts not on fire are really pretty,” says EARTH TWO editor Pat McCallum. “Trouble is that after an invasion from Apokolips, some prime Earth 2 real estate has gone up in smoke. What we’re looking at down there used to be [INFORMATION REDACTED].”

“I haven't previously had many opportunities to work on a truly epic scale but working with James [Robinson], on some of his favorite characters and in our own alternate Earth Two world, is providing me with that platform.
Coming in May, DC COMICS-THE NEW 52 “Second Wave” will literally expand the world-building efforts of the comprehensive publishing initiative. With the addition of a parallel Earth that features prominently into both EARTH 2 and WORLDS’ FINEST, the developing narrative will encompass new heroes from distinctly different backgrounds, building on the shared universe in some surprising ways. “Who will Batman kill to save his own daughter?” asks EARTH 2 editor Pat McCallum. “Right out of the gate that should tell you we’re dealing with a different kind of Dark Knight here.
Fan-favorite artist Nicola Scott will be joining the SUPERMAN creative team,providing art for issues 3, 5 and 6. Jesus Merino remains the series’ ongoing artist, illustrating issue 4 and returning for the issue 7 debut of new writers Dan Jurgens and Keith Giffen - which Jurgens will be drawing.
In the final issue of this run of TEEN TITANS, the team faces down with their most invincible enemy yet: Superboy prime and his army of Superboy clones. This oversized 100th issue written by J.T. Krul with art by Nicola Scott, Doug Hazlewood, Jack Purcell and Greg Adams, packs action and mayhem into every page. In the end, the Teen Titans must face the question: when your enemy is unstoppable, how do you punish or contain him?
Throughout the course of San Diego Comic-Con, be sure to stop by the DC Entertainment booth to see some of your favorite artists doing drawing demonstrations on stage. Artists Jim Lee, Francis Manapul, Cully Hamner, David Finch, Mark Buckingham, Rafael Albuquerque, Chris Burnham, Nicola Scott, Bernard Chang, Jill Thompson, Art Baltazar and Franco will be inviting fans into their artistic processes as they show them how they draw all the art you see in comic books every Wednesday.
