The Roundup: A Very Harley Holiday

Holiday shopping getting you down? Is the thought of spending Christmas with your in-laws enough to make you consider moving to North Pole? Have you heard “Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer” so… many… GOSH… DARN… TIMES that you’re on the brink of running someone down yourself? Well, don’t do that (no, really, please don’t do that). Instead, grab a copy of this week’s HARLEY QUINN HOLIDAY SPECIAL #1. It’s 48 pages of merriment and mayhem guaranteed to make even the biggest Scrooge smile.

The Roundup: A Multiversity of New Creators

No, we haven’t cracked open the comic industry Multiverse and unleashed a flurry of alternate universe Scott Snyders, Jeff Lemires and Jim Lees into the world. We’re just referring to the two major reasons you may want to hit the comic shop tomorrow if you’re a DC Comics fan.

The Roundup: A Wonder-ful Run

Writing thirty-five issues of a series is a considerable undertaking for anyone, but when they’re thirty-five of the most critically acclaimed, character-defining issues in modern super hero comics, that’s something worthy of celebration and maybe a little awe. So it is with Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang’s  Wonder Woman, which wraps up this week after over three years of phenomenal, intelligent storytelling with WONDER WOMAN #35.

The Roundup: Forever Comes to an End

Yes, it’s been a wicked ride, but Forever Evil, the seven-issue miniseries by Geoff Johns and David Finch, is finally coming to a close with an extra-sized finale that will shake The New 52 down to its very core. In fact, it’s so huge that the finale isn’t just limited to the pages of FOREVER EVIL #7, but JUSTICE LEAGUE #30 and JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #14 as well. Before Wednesday is done, we’ll know the fate of the Crime Syndicate as well as Lex Luthor’s “Injustice League.” But first, maybe we should recap…

The Roundup: Lois Lane Gets a Scoop... And Standalone Comic

No matter the news, if it’s big and it’s breaking, you know that Lois Lane will have the scoop. But what about when Lois is the news? That’s certainly the case this week, as everyone’s favorite investigative reporter gets a special standalone comic devoted entirely to her. Written by the red hot Marguerite Bennett, it’s a story about family…and freaky, otherworldly alien alligators (and other beasts, but we kind of like the alligators).

TUESDAY ROUNDUP: March 20th

Steve Trevor gets reacquainted with the Justice League, Batman readies himself for the next round and Wonder Woman goes to…ahem, Hades in this week’s new batch of comics from DC. While we can’t make Wednesday get here any sooner (and if we could, wouldn’t you rather we skip all the way ahead to Friday?), we can make the wait a little more bearable by rounding up this week’s previews.

Here’s what went down yesterday…
