In the first two issues of BATMAN: ODYSSEY vol. 2, Batman traveled to Gotham City’s underworld to save Talia al Ghul from the clutches of her kidnappers, The Sensei. Oh, and this secret underworld also just so happens to be where The League of Assassins has set up camp for years. In issue #3, Robin is introduced to Deadman, who joins the fight against the flesh-hungry creatures that reside in the underworld. But will having a team of allies be enough to help Batman defeat The Sensei?
Desperate times call for desperate measures. In BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #13, Batman’s life is hanging on by a thread. In order to help save him, The Phantom Stranger summons all of the people who have worn the Robin mask in the past, present and in the future. Together, these Robins must restore their mentor back to full health before it is too late.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already October. And if you’re anything like me, October only means one thing: Halloween. But Halloween is more than just trying to pull scary pranks or get free candy from your neighbors – it’s also about getting dressed up and having fun with your family and friends.
In the final issue of the current run of BATMAN, The Dark Knight’s past is illuminated. Featuring appearances by a wide array of classic characters including Robin, Catwoman, Batgirl, Nightwing, The Riddler, Jim Gordon and Superman, BATMAN #713 traces the evolution of The Dark Knight and Bat-family.
In an issue full of illusions, twists, and misdirection, Batman and Robin must cling to reality in order to survive. After four murderous psychopaths are released from Le Jardin Noir, the French equivalent to Arkham Asylum, the ensuing chaos is as much of a visual trip as it is a mental one. But who is the ringleader of this insanity and can Batman, Robin and Nightrunner stop him from turning the whole world abstract?
Last we saw the Young Justice team, they were making s’mores and telling stories over a campfire. In issue #6, the bonding and sharing continues as the gang reveals their origins to one another. Hear Dick Grayson tell the story of how he turned into Robin. See how M’Gann made her way from Mars to Earth. But when Superboy starts remembering how and why he was created, he can’t help but feel that he must take down Superman. Will he be able to resist his dark impulses or is the temptation too sweet?
