(Everybody’s Talkin’ About) DC Comics-The New 52, Tuesday Evening (ET) Edition

Tomorrow marks the release of two major titles from DC Comics-The New 52, BATMAN #1 and WONDER WOMAN #1. And what better way to kick off these series’ releases than with two high profile previews?

USA TODAY’s POP CANDY has the exclusive preview of WONDER WOMAN #1. "The idea is to move forward with Wonder Woman in a way that makes her story bigger,” series artist Cliff Chiang told them.

Earlier today, we announced that all the books in the first two weeks of release from DC Comics-The New 52. As we ready for the week two books to hit stores, here are some of the press highlights from the past few days.

The Final Issue of BATMAN: GATES OF GOTHAM

Last we saw The Architect, he had planted a bomb that if set off, would drown half of Gotham City. As Damian Wayne and Cassandra Cain swim deep underneath the Kane Bridge to try to locate the bomb and diffuse it, Batman comes face to face with The Architect and delivers him a startling revelation about his past. But will The Architect believe him and put a stop to his plan and save the city? Or is he too blinded by his need for vengeance to hear the truth about the Gates of Gotham?

The winners of The 2011 Harvey Awards were announced this weekend at the Baltimore Comic-Con. DC Entertainment took home awards for the following DC Comics and Vertigo titles.

Best New Series: AMERICAN VAMPIRE by Scott Snyder, Stephen King and Rafael Albuquerque

Best Single Issue or Story: DAYTRIPPER by Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon

FLASHPOINT FRIDAY: Subject Zero vs. Subject One

Neil Sinclair is no more. His transformation into Subject Zero has destroyed his former self and turned him entirely into a merciless warrior with an unquenchable thirst for power and vengeance.
