THE SOURCE presents a new 'Absolute Justice' SMALLVILLE clip

A couple weeks back, we unveiled a new clip from Smallville's "Absolute Justice," an epic two-hour episode written by our very own Geoff Johns, which showcases the Justice Society of America, the first superhero team ever. And, as most of you know, that team of heroes is near and dear to Geoff's heart and also to comic fans across the globe. So why stop at one? We're happy and honored to unveil a second clip from the episode, which airs this Friday. But before we do, let's check in with the prolific Mr. Johns. Take it away, Geoff:

"The episode introduces the team that preceded the Justice League -- the Justice Society of America -- and what legacy means in the DC Universe as it's hit hard by a villain from the JSA's past...so they think. Like I've said before, fans are going to want to watch the show as it airs and DVR this one so they can go back and catch everything. But it's also about introducing DC's universe to viewers who don't know it. Millions of people who have never heard of the Justice Society, Hawkman, Doctor Fate or Stargirl are going to meet them. I'm hoping this is just the start on introducing the DC Universe, and every character in it, to the rest of the world."

It’s not a stretch to say comics are everywhere on the pop culture landscape — movies, television, books and beyond. These colorful heroes are a part of our daily lives, and we’re proud to unveil something very cool — and by “cool,” I mean something special, that we’ve never done before on THE SOURCE.

As most of you know, BLACKEST NIGHT writer Geoff Johns has done his fair share of Hollywood work, including but not limited to working with SUPERMAN director Richard Donner. He's also written episodes of SMALLVILLE. The most recent, titled “Absolute Justice” features the television debut of some of his -- and your -- favorite DCU heroes, including Hawkman, Stargirl and Dr. Fate.

In other words, the Justice Society of America. The first superhero team in history and one that holds a special place not only for Geoff, but for fans everywhere.

So, needless to say, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention it here. We'd be doubly at fault if we didn't corral Geoff himself to share a few words, too. Take it away, Geoff:

"It's the first live action Justice Society of America. Hawkman, Doctor Fate and, my personal favorite, Stargirl. But don't expect them to be the one ones you see. Look closely in this episode. There's more cameos and easter eggs than Green Lanterns."

Oh, and did I mention we have an exclusive clip from the episode, courtesy of the fine folks at The CW? Click below to view. Enjoy!

Experience ADVENTURE COMICS #2 -- Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes

Geoff Johns and superstar artist Francis Manapul continue to tell the tale of the revived Conner Kent, as Superboy settles back into life in Smallville. But all is not well in Superman's hometown. And while Conner reunites with Wonder Girl to discuss their future, Lex Luthor and Brainiac form a partnership that will put the entire DCU at risk.

Meanwhile, in the Legion of Super-Heroes co-feature, co-writers Geoff Johns and Michael Shoemaker team with artist Clayton Henry to spotlight the heroes of the 31st century, as Lightning Lad travels to the prison planet of Takron-Galtos to confront his brother, Lightning Lord, and to learn an unexpected family secret that could set in motion a war to end all wars. Yeah, that big.
