IGN Begins Countdown of Top 100 Heroes in Comics

Top-traffic game site IGN has started a countdown of their top 100 super heroes of all time. Everyday they've been unrolling more and more of their list. So far, they've revealed a little more than half of their entries and DC has secured a solid number of spots, with characters such as Black Lightning, Superboy, Jonah Hex, Booster Gold, Aquaman, and Barry Allen being included. Head on over to IGN to see the full list so far and keep checking back as the rest is revealed today and tomorrow.

Superboy takes on the New Titans in SUPERBOY #7

Superboy wakes up to find that not only is Smallville an unrecognizable, near-lifeless place, but that he is the one responsible for the destruction. When the New Titans dub him the enemy and come to seek justice, Superboy has to prove his innocence not only to them – but to himself.

Comic legend Mike Grell has covered a wide range of the DC Universe during his remarkable career, from his early run on Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes to his long tenure as the ongoing writer of Green Arrow, and most famously as the creator of The Warlord.

What’s next up on his plate for DC? Drawing a sequence telling Iron Maiden’s backstory starting in issue 7 of T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents!
