As the holidays arrive and the year comes to a close, we thought we’d take a look back at 2013 and commemorate some of the moments that really stood out in the world of DC Entertainment in a two-week DCComics.com series we’re calling “Ten Moments that Mattered.” Some of these moments were happy. Some were sad. They played out in the pages of our comics, on the big and small screen and in the halls of our office. However, all of them made a profound difference in the world of DC Comics and in the hearts and minds of our fans.

Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short

From the creative minds of Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) and Bruce Timm (Superman: The Animated Series) and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this short follows Superman through the years, from his first appearance on the cover of Action Comics #1 to Henry Cavill in this year's Man of Steel...all in two minutes!

The Superman Anniversary Short: 75 Points of Annotation

As most of you know, Superman is celebrating his 75th Anniversary this year. To help commemorate this impressive milestone, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder teamed up with artist and animator extraordinaire Bruce Timm to create a two-minute short that traces the Man of Steel’s history from Superman’s debut on the cover of 1938’s Action Comics #1 all the way to Henry Cavill in Man of Steel. “Just like Superman” – that’s the expression often used around the world to describe heroic, real life acts of kindness, strength responsibility and hope.  Superman, the world’s first Super Hero, is such an iconic character that he often inspires real life heroism. In celebration of the Man of Steel’s 75th Anniversary we’re inviting you, the fans, to share your personal stories about real life heroes with the Superman Real Heroes Project.

SDCC 2013 - Superman Costume Booth Tour

In honor of Superman's 75th Anniversary, DC Entertainment has gathered a remarkable collection of Superman costumes from film and TV for display at San Diego Comic-Con. Spanning from Christopher Reeve's iconic original from 1978's Superman to three different costumes from this summer's Man of Steel, this collection is a must see. As part of DC Comics' Con Away From Con coverage, Co-Publisher Dan DiDio and Warner Bros. Corporate Archive Executive Director Leith Adams give an informative look at all eight costumes exclusively for DC Comics fans!
