If you’ve been reading “Trinity War” and checking out all the art teases we’ve been showing lately, you know that this is shaping up to be not only one of the most exciting and historic crossovers in comic history, but also one of the most visually stunning. And if you’ve read the first two parts of the crossover, you know the all-star creative talent involved – including Geoff Johns, Jeff Lemire, Ivan Reis, Doug Mahnke and Mikel Janin – is not pulling any punches, with surprises at every turn.
“Trinity War” is upon us!
Tomorrow, the comic book event of the summer kicks off in JUSTICE LEAGUE #22. What happens when the Justice League, the Justice League of America and the Justice League Dark all go into battle with one another? Who's who in the Justice League?
You have questions – and we have some answers from the man behind “Trinity War” – Geoff Johns!
When last we left Green Lantern (as written and drawn by Robert Venditti and Billy Tan), Hal Jordan and his new recruits were under attack by Larfleeze and an army of his intelligent constructs. Not much of a threat for the Green Lantern Corps, you say? Well, we mentioned these recruits were new, right? That’s new as in untested, right off the proverbial bus, will-be-lucky-if-they-survive-their-first-morning. Yes, these new Lanterns are in for a baptism by fire. They’ll either quickly rise as Green Lanterns or fall into Agent Orange’s clutches.
This summer, the highly anticipated crossover event, “Trinity War,” will officially kick off in the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE #22, written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado.
In the gallery above, take a sneak peek at the issue’s incredible interior art. And in the last panel of the first page shown, you’ll notice the elusive Doctor Light. But in The New 52, Doctor Light is not the same character you may recall from his previous incarnations. This time around, he’s a virtuous family man whose both a good husband and father.
Earlier this month we announced that the highly anticipated “Trinity War” will be a massive crossover event spanning the three Justice League titles—JUSTICE LEAGUE, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA and JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK.
This summer, a war of epic proportions will hit the DC Universe.
Kicking off in July, “Trinity War” will find the Justice League, the Justice League of America, and Justice League Dark teams battling one another in a monumental crossover event. Spanning over six issues throughout the pages of JUSTICE LEAGUE, JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA, and JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, “Trinity War” will see Earth’s biggest heroes going head to head in an explosive arc that will defy the superhero genre.
Over the past few weeks, “Best of” lists dominated the Interwebs—ranging from music to television to, of course, comic books. We even made a blog post linking a few of them that featured some of the great DC titles from THE NEW 52, Vertigo, and more.
