Game on, folks. Starting a 1pm today, the doors to the Javits Center in NYC open up and NYCC 2010 will be in full swing. As Ian noted a few days ago, we’ll have an impressive array of talent, panels and giveaways to keep fans attending the show. But what to do until the show starts?
Artist Yanick Paquette is no stranger to the adventures and wild worlds created by the comics mastermind that is Grant Morrison, and BATMAN INCORPORATED will be no exception. If you had any doubts, though, Paquette’s cover to BATMAN INCORPORATED #2 should put them to rest. Swing back Friday for a full look at the Batman books in December.
It seems like just yesterday that I was flying back from San Diego Comic-Con and now here we are and it’s time for the next stop on the 2010 DC Nation tour – Fan Expo Canada at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada from August 27-29. Actually it was just yesterday that I flew back from San Diego, but thanks to the magic of comics you’re reading this weeks from when I write it. I’m jealous because when you read this it’s almost football season and you’ve seen a certain action movie that hasn’t come out yet as I’m writing this.
It’s that time again folks – your chance to peek into the future of the Dark Knight. A future which is pretty bright, actually. What’s in store? Well, we’ve given you a sense of it over the last few weeks: BATMAN INC., THE DARK KNIGHT, BATMAN AND ROBIN, BATWOMAN and DETECTIVE COMICS will be launching or sporting new creative teams this month. Click below for the specifics and a ton of new art.
It’s been a pretty frenetic and fun week for the Dark Knight so far, but why stop now? So far, we’ve heard a lot about BATMAN INC., the new ongoing series kicking off in November, from writer Grant Morrison. But what of artist Yanick Paquette? Well, ask no more. Here’s a peek at the first cover to BATMAN INC., and it’s a stunner.
Remember when we told you to sit tight for another BATMAN announcement? Well, here it is. As revealed on the BATMAN panel at San Diego Comic-Con, writer Grant Morrison will be helming a new, ongoing Batman series: BATMAN INC., featuring art by the ultra-talented Yanick Paquette. What does the “INC.” stand for? How will this new series build upon the amazing stories Grant has crafted in the pages of BATMAN and BATMAN AND ROBIN?
Yanick Paquette steps into the artist’s chair and joins forces with writer Grant Morrison to tell a pirate’s tale – featuring our hero, a time-lost Bruce Wayne, struggling to find his way back home as some of his own friends struggle to prevent it from happening. But let’s see if he survives a dangerous bout with something more dangerous than seasickness. BATMAN: THE RETURN OF BRUCE WAYNE #3 hits 6/23. [gallery link="file"]
